Based in Nashville, TN, Robert May is a versatile artist, excelling as a singer, composer, and vocal coach. After completing a Bachelor of Music at the Juilliard School, Robert established himself as a performer in New York City before making Nashville his home in 2023.

Robert's performance portfolio spans from lending his voice to off-Broadway productions to showcasing his original compositions at venues like Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center. Noteworthy engagements include arranging and performing traditional spirituals with members of the New York City Ballet for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's "MetLiveArts" series, as well as a role in Martinů's "The Key of Dreams" with the American Symphony Orchestra in Carnegie Hall.

Beyond solo endeavors, Robert has been integral to New York's professional choral community, lending his voice to groups such as the New York Virtuoso Singers, Pro Arte Singers, Bard Festival Chorale, and MasterVoices.

Robert is active as a composer and arranger, and had his arrangement of “The Lusitania Went Down” performed at the National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City in April 2017. Robert's debut album, "Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven," releases on May 24, 2024. When not immersed in music, he delves into the study of ancient languages and enjoys leisurely walks with his wife and three sons.
